Fauna & Flora
There are natural viewing portals into other dimensions which grow all about this Plane. We analyze them to see which ones are open to a different moment in the personal dimensional timeline than ours. Out of those, we then select any which look into the future as the way to help us mitigate significant losses of existence.
Odd creatures also roam the place in one-off numbers. Their appearance is best described as two talons, as though from a bird, were connected at the bases by a thin wire. One talon is smaller and serves as the head. Meanwhile the larger one has two thin arms extending from the shoulder area. They are patterned vertically with a black and white scheme, alternating on the top and bottom. The creatures float about, and can be generous or vicious in an instant. If it is in a good mood, it will gift those they meet with a naturally generated enchantment. If it is in a bad mood, it will attack with ferocious intent. The horizontal jaws of the creature will unlatch and the teeth will lock into place. (They normally face up like a row of spines on the head.) Their saliva creates a dis-empowering effect, seeming to cause adventurers spasms and ticks for a time. No one knows how they reproduce, if they do so themselves.
Natural Resources
The flora here is an invaluable resource on its own. They are effectively permanent divination portals which are permanently open. In addition, a resin can be harvested and then refined for purposes noted on the side of this page. However, this resin, natural and refined, degrades quickly even in a vacuum and can be expensive to create or maintain.
The, "Balance Brains", have multiple useful organs, but their numbers are few, and how they reproduce is unknown and undocumented. Attempts to capture the creatures have resulted in them disappearing in a swirling mote of black and white
Tourism
Dimensional Travel is strictly prohibited. This dimension is a valuable location in the war for existence.
Yes, the name is now a misnomer as with the material, elemental, etc, planes. Crusaders really enjoy the alliterative aspects of it, and it still is not an easy dimension to get to reliably. Thus, the continued reference as such.
The resin of native flora can be used to form a concoction which can boost divination spells and conjuration spells past dimensional barriers. Sometimes, this is the only way that portals to certain dimensions can be made
Bodies of the, "Balance Brain", brought back for investigation have revealed that the positive enchantment can be collected post-mortem, and same for the saliva.
