Kahr Zen

Kahr Zen is the capitol of the dwarven kingdom Kahr. Kahr Zen is a Dwarven city that is built in an enormous mountain. The city is built in 5 Rings and an Outer city. This City is incredibly old and no-one knows who built it and who built the magic boundaries. Before, the city only had the 5 rings, but because you couldn’t enter the rings if you weren’t a Dwarf, other races started expanding the city around the Rings. This is the part of the city known as the outer City.   Kahr Zen is also an famous trade hub for trading in all kinds of magic materials. Artifacts are the specialty of Kahr Zen, but you can find all kinds of different things here.

Demographics

Mosly Dwarves. Most of the Dwarves are from the Semtian Order. Most of the Dwarves of the Semtian Order are Artifecers.

Government

The city is run by one king, Zemora.

Defences

The city is protected by 5 ring-walls. Around these 5 ring walls, you find the outer city. This is again protected by an enourmous wall. The defenders on the wall are members of the Semtian Orders.

Industry & Trade

This settlement stays afloat by selling artifacts. They import allot of wood and stuff to be able to build new artifacts and build new constructs.

Assets

In this city, you can find all kind of materials in shops and such, but the most common thing you can find in shops are artifacts.

History

In the complete center, there is an enormous temple. This temple is the home of the king of the city, Zemora. Zemora is the stongest of the Zementals , and she has only left his palace five times since it was built. Around this center there is the part of the city called the Zementaelian district. This is the part of the city where no living being enters, and only Zementals enter. These are Immortal Spirits that are made from Dwarven Heroes.   Around this inner city there is a round wall. This wall is what’s called the inner wall, and it’s so heavily protected that even the Dynrian Hydra, An Ancient Beast, couldn’t breach it. The protection is a spell that sends the energy right into the ground. In a normal city, this wouldn’t work. But in this city it does work. That is because under the city you can find a special gemstone called Sphalerite. This stone can store energy, and with enough magic you can also pull and send energy out of these Stones. The energy gets sent into the ground, and into the Stones. After The Sword of Zenasia was built, the energy would flow into the Sword.   Outside of the inner wall, you can find the inner district, which is also known as the ‘first ring’. This district is again being protected by a wall, called the ‘first ring wall’. The stories say; “only the purest of hearts can enter the first ring”. This isn’t entirely true. You can only enter if you’re a dwarf, if you’re part of the First Semtian Order for over 20 years, if you’ve done some heroic act to protect the city and if you’re still alive. This last part is where most dwarfs fall. A heroic act is actually not that hard to get, you just have to protect the city with everything you’ve got during every raid of creatures trying to raid attack the city. The reason you can’t enter is because the first ring wall is protected by a magical protection. The first ring wall has only ever been breached once and that was accomplished by the Dynrian Hydra.   Outside of the First ring wall, you can find the second ring, which again is protected by a wall called the Second Ring wall. Entering the second ring is allot easier than entering the first ring. Still, you need to be part of the First Semtian Order, but only for the last 5 years. Here you can find most of the ‘normal’ soldiers. Again, the second ring wall is protected by magical spells, but these magical spells are much weaker than the spells on the first ring wall. Still, these protections were only breached twice; once when Dyvnasil, the god of deamons, tried to take over the city, and once when the Dynrian Hydra attacked.   Outside of the Second ring wall, you can find the third ring, and around that the third ring wall. Outside of the third ring wall you find the fourth ring, which, again, is protected by the Fourth Ring wall. To enter the third or fourth ring, you don’t have to do anything special. All you have to do is have sworn an oath to the Semtian god. In the Fourth and Third Ring you can find most of the common folk. Still, these people see themselves much higher than the other people in the city, who live in the Fifth ring, and in the outer city. Just like the walls above, the Third and Fourth ring walls are protected by magical spells, but again the spells get weaker the further you go away from the center of the city, so the protection is much weaker then the protection on the Second and First ring walls. Just like the Second ring walls, these have only been breached twice.   Outside the fourth ring wall, you can find the fifth ring and around that the fifth ring wall. To enter the fifth ring, all you have to do, is be a dwarf which is part of the Second Semtian Order, or have sworn an oath to the Semtian God. Here you will find many traders which trade between the outer city and the Rings. This is because most of the people who live inside the Rings, never leave, which is because they don’t have to. Instead, the people of the Second Semtian Order have to leave the rings every day, and so do the traders. This is why they mostly live close to the outer city. The fifth ring wall has only ever been breached 8 times. Once when the Dynrian Hydra attacked, once during the war between the Gods and the Goronian Gryphon, Once when Dyvnasyl, The god of Deamons, tried to take over the city. (More to be put in later).   Around the fifth ring, you can find the Outer City. This is the part of the city where you can find all kinds of races, and not only dwarves. This is because only dwarves can enter the Rings. Still, many people of all kinds of races live here in Happiness. Overall, living here is completely safe. Still, in many wars, the walls of the Outer City have been breached. This is because there are no magical protections on the outer walls. All you need to breach them is a good set of siege equipment. Still breaching them is incredibly hard, because the walls are built incredibly thick and the military defending it are incredibly good.   The king of the Kahr Zen is Zemora , but she always stays inside his palace. That’s why the City is ruled by a steward. The Steward of Kahr Zen, is a dwarf chosen by the Zementals . As a Steward you can’t die by age, so the only way you could die is in a battle. In total, there have been 3 Stewards of Kahr Zen. After the Stewards has died, the Zementals will take a Dwarf, who will become the new steward, to The gate of the First wall. There, he will be greated by Zemora who will give him the gift of immortality.   Under Kahr Zen, Dwarves have found special crystals. These can store energy. Most of these are used to make all kinds of machines. This is why Thalasius is also known as the City of Technology, or the City of Wonders. All the famous scientist either are from Kahr Zen, or moved to Kahr Zen. These Crystals are called Sphalerite, but their more commonly known as Moon Stone. They finds these crystals in pieces as small as dust, and only 6 have ever been bigger than a raisin. To generate power the Dwarves use a chemical reaction with the blood of the Dynrian Hydra and (Other Material). This is done very deep under the ground, in an underground lake. This is because the middle of the lake is bound with a spell, that causes all unused energy to travel into The Sword of Zenasia. This is a Sword that was built by Zemora that gave him the power to turn himself and other people into Zementals. This is because inside the sword there is a pure crystal of Sphalerite. This is the biggest crystal that ever has been found under Kahr Zen.   Still, turning people into Zementals may be the most used thing the Sword of Zenasia can do, but it’s not the only thing. because of the crazy amounts of power stored inside it, the Sword of Zenasia can shoot out beams of pure energy. Those beams can vaporise anything and anyone it passes through. These beams have only been used three times to kill things; Once when the Dynrian Hydra attacked the city. It was literally burned to its core. The Second time was when Dyvnasyl, the god of Deamons, attacked the city. This caused the gods to fear Zemora , and start treating him as an equal.
