Obsidian Imperium

The Obsidian Imperium lies deep within the Underdark, controlling the unending tunnels and caves that stretch beyond imagination with an iron grip. Noble houses of Drow vie for control over the Imperium, beseeching the High Priestess of Lolth to grant them power and authority to rule the varied peoples of the Underdark. Such a cruel place inspired a dominion of equal cruelty, the Imperium is based on a strict hierarchy that places the favored children of Lolth above all the peoples of the Underdark. Many who struggle under the suffocating rule of the Imperium long for an escape, but must flee through the horrors of the Underddark, and guarantee pursuit by the Imperium for the rest of their days.
