Nellos

Divine Reaper

There is a black veil that lies between the living and the dead, but for some this veil is more translucent than others. On occasion those who go searching for ways to pass beyond this veil, or circumvent it's black cloth find this dark curtain pulled from before them by the hand of death itself. Nellos invites those who wish to peer beyond the veil to look, and see that though they may be able to manipulate death it will always be there reminding them of it's impending arrival.

Divine Domains

Nellos is often called the Divine Reaper, and is the end of all life. There is little agitation in Nellos, but instead a patient deity that permits any to fight back against the inevitability of his triumph. Many can not put up the slightest challenge to Nellos when the Divine Reaper beckons them to the afterlife. May of those who have been dragged back from beyond Nellos' veil have spoken of how slowly the Reaper guided them to their final resting place, explaining where their soul would move on to.

Tenets of Faith

Factions that form around their worship of Nellos are often done so for morbid purposes. Many undertakers and morticians are devout followers of the Divine Reaper, as these people are often in contact with Their great power. At the more extreme lengths, cults devoted to the destruction of the undead, as well as the proliferation of it arise in the name of Nellos. Those who seek to banish the undead see it as a crime against Nellos nature to trifle with their great power, while cults of the undead see themselves as taking up the challenge set by the Divine Reaper, to challenge their power over death.
