Iron Hills
The Iron Hills span out from the edges of the Colossus, and have been populated by sentient life since almost the beginning of the Second Age. It was one of the first territories conquered by the Anorian Empire, and has served as a loyal state to the empire for thousands of years.
History
The inhabitants of the Iron Hills were among the first of the many different mountain peoples that would call the Colossus their home. They found safe harbor from the dangers of the 2nd Age in the ruins of ancient civilizations. These ruins provided them a safe home from which they could begin fighting back against the horrors of the mountains. Not only did it give them safety, but it gave them hope that they could one day conquer the Iron Hills. The walls of these ruins had ancient techniques of mining inscribed on the walls, one in which their new inhabitants figured out how to follow. They had also discovered who had resided in these ancient structures, and refereed to them as the Morndinsamman, who were a collective of six dwarven deities from the 1st age who jointly ruled an empire across the Colossus. Although many began to worship what these gods had made for them, an organized religion did not form around the Morndiansmoin and instead it was often up to clans to choose how reverent they wanted to be.
