Children of The Kraken

Children of the Kraken are all those who seek to return the Great Old One. They are spread far and wide across the Reach, but most call the chaotic waters of Old Salt their home. In that lawless land they find ample opportunity to do the bidding of aberrant overlord. These cults remain small, and hostile to outsiders. Little is known about them by the general public, people often say that the first children born of the Kraken must have been born before it ever made its way to the material plan.

Culture

By the very nature of their plans, Children of the Kraken must meet in secret. This means groups must remain small, and constantly be on the lookout for people who are attempting to infiltrate their groups to bring them down from the inside. Not only do those who worship the Kraken have to worry about the backstabbing of enemy spies, but their fellow children as well. Much of the believe around the Kraken is focused on a special few who successfully bring about the return being gifted with massive power, meaning that as groups grow larger they became a greater threat to one another and are seen as just as much of an enemy as a Keeper of the Chain.

Worship

The Kraken is loathed by almost every living being in Old Salt, and in this hatred a power was found that can drain the Kraken of it's power and disperse it to randomly among those who partake in ritual of loathing towards the Great Old One. This practice gives perfect cover for Children of the Kraken, who typically pass of their abilities and worship as this same loathsome religious practice. Instead they are venerating their patron, and channeling their devotion and belief into a power for the Kraken to latch onto in the material plane.
