Anorian Magistrates

The Anorian is one of the oldest Nations in all of the Reach, and has dominated international affairs for the better part of the 2nd Age. In is not merely their military prowess that lead to this point but also their astute stewardship of the people inside of their empire. The Empire is built upon a bedrock of simplistic yet effective governance, with a handful of constant positions that help maintain the law and order in the Anorian Empire.

Structure

The Imperial Crown selects a handful of people to occupy the position of Consul, each of the four states in the Anorian Empire have two who rule in tandem with one another, and serve for only 10 years. They are the direct rulers of each of the four states, but must agree on their decisions or seek the Emperor to break a stalemate.    The Consuls then appoint three key positions under them; the Censor who is the head magistrate of laws, the Tribune who is the head magistrate of the markets, and the Prefect who is the head magistrate of the military. Underneath these positions, each of the head magistrates is free to create positions and fill them with as many or as few individuals as they deem necessary. Although this is done at theur discreation, the Consuls are free to remove them from their post at anytime given a sufficent reason to the Imperial Crown.
