Nihon City
A Japanese corporation bought the mineral rights to the nearby planet of Jigoku during the early days of the Terran Mandate. The miners of Jigoku eventually settled a city on Renaissance to support their operations in the star system. Nihon City is now a large district of the ecumenopolis that spans the planet of Renaissance.
Nihon City was modeled after the Earth city of Neo-Tokyo. Neon lights illuminate the dark understreets of the city. Corporate offices rise to the skyline of the major city center. Industrial forges line many of the outskirts. The nearby Great Divide and manufactories create an almost endless night of smog around Nihon City.
