Teleans
Teleans are a bipedal species with a mostly humanoid frame, and average around a height of 5 to 6 ft. (excluding the Giants). Their bodies are typically a mixture of a yellow, black, and brown colouration. The insectoid bodies have a heavily scaled exoskeleton coating them, with a thick tuft of fur around their necks. They have five eyes: two large eyes on the side of their head and three smaller ones in a triangular shape on the upper centre of their forehead. Their eyes are all a single, solid colour, though this colour varies between individual Teleans; black and brown are the most common but their eyes can also be blue, yellow, silver, or pale green. They have two pairs of arms, but the second pair (located lower on the torso) are a lot smaller and are mostly used to reinforce and support the first pair. Teleans have a pair of wings on their back that help them hover and fly, though only the most experienced and athletic Teleans can fly faster than they can run.
There are two major species of Teleans who currently populate the World. These are the Bees and Wasps, each occupying a different continent. The Bees occupy the larger continent, Apidae, and the Wasps occupy the island continent Vespa. The Wasps have a history of aggression waged toward the Bees and are suspected of numerous assassination attempts against the Queens of the Hives that rule close to the eastern coast of Apidae. However, no major conflicts arose due to the threat of the other hives coming to the west coast's aid. It was generally believed that the Wasp hostilities could be diminished if their queens were to be included in the Council of Queens. The offer was extended and accepted, and since then there have only been minor issues between Svirepyy Roy and Crabro.

Laws of Aviation. Teleans have minor flight capabilities, and as they grow more accustomed to combat this ability can grow. A Telean with 0 Grit has a flying Speed of 2. This Speed increases to 3 at 2 Grit, 4 at 4 Grit, and 5 at 6 Grit. A heavy hardsuit reduces the Speed value by 1.

Honeyed
Quadralimbed. Your second pair of arms are stronger than other Teleans and can be utilised to greater effect. These arms can be used to carry additional pilot gear or weapons. However, you cannot carry more than one Heavy signature weapon, regardless of whether it is melee or ranged.Giants
Powerful Build. These Bees are the largest of their kind, hailing from Titan's Hand. Your Size becomes 1, meaning you cannot operate mechs that have a Size of 1/2. This also changes any rules relating to pilot Size; i.e. a pilot usually cannot lift or drag anything greater than Size 1/2, but due to this feature a Giant pilot would instead not be able to lift or drag anything greater than Size 1.Solitary
Palliating Pollen. Solitary Bees are expert pollinators, and can use this skill to heal themselves and allies. When you are taking a rest near large, non-hostile plantlife (must be Size 1 or greater) you can acquire pollen from said plant and use it within the same rest to restore all pilots' HP to their maximum.Wasps
Smooth Stinger. Unlike the Bees of Telea, Wasps do not have a barbed stinger and can sting their enemies without endangering themselves. When engaging in melee combat in narrative play (e.g. outside of a mech) a Wasp can invoke their stinger to gain +1 Accuracy. However, if the attack is meant to be non-lethal there is a 50% chance that the stinger kills your combatant (provided the roll is for a 'finishing move').Example Names

Last Names
The following are the last names given to Teleans from True Hives, based on their age range. Teleans that are not from True Hives do not have last names, and Teleans from True Hives relinquish their last names once the Queen that birthed them steps down from a position of leadership.Age Range | The Umbral Hive | Melliferan | Titan's Hand | Honeywell | Svirepyy Roy | Bumblebuzz |
