Milena Gorski

Milena Gorski (a.k.a. Mila)

Milena Gorski is a Sailor Senshi from the Alcyone System, Sailor Leiagore.

Physical Description

Special abilities

Healing

Whilst the majority of those that awaken as Sailor Leiagore develop superstrength, Mila has awakened a rarer ability, although it is one still associated with bearers of the Leiagore Starseed; healing. She's still learning where the limits of this ability lie, having healed deep cuts and bruises but nothing worse.

Personal history

Mila was born and raised on her home planet of Leiagore in the Alcyone System. She grew up in a big, warm family and went to school locally. She was, by most people's description, nothing special or out of the ordinary. This suited Mila fine - she didn't like being made a fuss of or drawing attention. She was quite happy with how things were.   Then one day, when she was fourteen, she awoke as Sailor Leiagore and everything changed. Word quickly spread and soon enough, senshi came knocking on her door. The Alcyone System included laws that meant all senshi were conscripted into its armed forces and all underage senshi were required to attend the Areto Iphito Academy.   Mila didn't want this - she wanted to stay at home with her family. But her parents' hands were tied and tried to make her see the opportunity she now had - the Academy was the most prestigious school in the Alliance, going there would be a wonderful experience. So, with great reluctance, Mila went.   It was as terrible as Mila expected. Whilst the staff and students were nice enough, it was clear that they expected greatness from her because of her senshi status. But Mila couldn't give them that. Her academics were well behind those of her classmates, meaning she had to take additional classes and do extra reading just to catch up - keeping up was next to impossible. And then there were the combat classes, which she hated anyway because she didn't like fighting.   It took barely two weeks for it to become too much. Overwhelmed, tired and homesick, Mila couldn't see a way out, couldn't face the disappointment on everyone's faces when they realised that she wasn't even close to what they expected. So, one evening, she took herself up to the roof of the accommodation block and stood on the edge, staring down at the drop below. And she paused there for a long time because, being a senshi, she didn't know if that would be enough.   The sudden arrival of Kalani Luna almost startled her off the roof and in the shame of being discovered, she almost jumped right there and then. But she didn't. She listened to Kalani and she yelled at her and got yelled at back in return.   But, at the end of it all, she let Kalani help her down from the roof. And things got better. Just a little at first, painfully so. Kalani made her talk to their teachers, explain that she wasn't coping with the work load and they found ways around it. Kalani helped with her catch-up work. But most importantly, Kalani was there to listen and that mattered a lot.   In the years that followed, leading up to graduation, a tight friendship was formed between the pair. And whilst Kalani had kept things from Mila (specifically about being Sailor Atlas), their friendship held strong. Once again, Kalani helped in keeping Mila sane whilst she dealt with her post-graduation dilema - she was supposed to join the Alcyone Military but couldn't bring herself to do so.   Upon graduation, Mila moved to Ambrosia with Kalani, finding accomodation together in Erda.

Education

Mila attended local primary and secondary schools on Leiagore until she was fourteen. At this point she transferred to the Areto Iphito Academy because of her senshi status.   Upon graduation, Mila applied to medical schools on Ambrosia, as a means of supplementing her healing ability.

Mental Trauma

Mila suffers from anxiety. On good days, she's aware of it but can operate 'normally'. When it's bad, it can lead to panic attacks and at it's extreme it has resulted in her contemplating suicide. She knows to look out for it though and takes precautions to make sure it doesn't get that bad. It also helps that her family and friends also know how to help her keep it from getting too bad.

Social

Family Ties

Mila's family is large and the extended family is huge - it's a running joke that everyone in their hometown is distantly related one way or another.   She has four parents; her biological parents Arron and Zoya, Arron's wife Dannika and Zoya's wife Kasmira.   She has two full siblings, Nadege ‘Nadya’ (five years older than Mila) and Ladislas ‘Laszlo’ (four years older than Mila). She has two step-siblings from Kasmira's previous relationship, Terezia (three years older) and Niklos (a year younger). Then there are two paternal half-siblings, Ory (seven years younger) and Chessa (eight years younger).

Wealth & Financial state

As a student, Mila doesn't have much in the way of money. She gets some for being in the Alcyone military reserve forces but it doesn't really cover much.
