Areto Iphito Academy

The Areto Iphito Academy is the most prestigious school in the Allied Systems. It caters to students between the ages of eight and eighteen, covering ten academic years. It resides within the Merope System and has stargates that allow access to all corners of the The Pleiadian Alliance.
Created by senshi to teach the ideals they hold important, the Academy is known by many as Senshi School. Certainly, not every student that goes through ends up being a senshi but a significant number of current senshi were educated there (though not all).

Public Agenda

The aim of the school is to provide a thorough education for its students, encouraging traits deemed vital to being a senshi. Physical development is valued equally with academic studies and all students learn basic combat skills. The school tries to remain neutral when discussing subjects such as history and politics, encouraging open mindedness and seeing things from all perspectives.

History

In the early days of the Pleiadian Alliance (when it referred to the senshi rather than the systems) advantage was taken by some members to learn and train with other senshi, sharing their knowledge. Two women in particular - the eponymous Areto and Iphito - decided to found a school where students could learn the skills and traits required by senshi. They hoped that this would not only provide somewhere for young senshi to learn their craft but also provide civilians with an insight into the role. And in fact, one of the first students to attend was a young Serene Apollon , who was recently awakened as Sailor Coronis.
