Vox
Vox is the current paraclete of the branch of Uz in the Church of Veritas. The strange thing about her is that she is actually five individuals composing the Hand of Vox. Since they are all changelings (creatures able to change their appearance), not many know of this fact and assume she is just the one. Her last known location was the city of Val'ul, where she was working on a plot to defeat the Lieutenant of the Uzite Dread Sin of Anger, Resentment. She has disappeared with the city, and her location is still being determined. She did not return, as two of the five were stuck in Uz, one was imprisoned by Vincent Netherridge as vengeance for losing his ship, and the two others could not come out of hiding after the following defeat in Tel'ul (1041) for the branch of Uz. Thus, a new leader was ushered in, and another, and another. The branch of Uz went through a period of much scrutiny and had to lie low for several decades. That was until the Growler arrived.

Personal history
Though the Hand of Vox as done several things in their time as paraclete, most of which has to do with the Uzite Inquisition and combating of heretical religions, the key event attributed to her is the plot to defeat Resentment. Three of the Fingers were necessary for this plot. One to distract the public from the risky project, one to go into Uz to taunt Resentment, and finally a third to build the trap with weapons to kill a god. The latter two found both of what they were looking for in the capital city of Tumult, Felicity.
Felicity at the time was plagued with several problems threatening the city. A frozen Frittian spirit warred at the northern border, while a necromancer warlord threatened the South (both issues dealt with by the legendary Tumult hero, Kourend Salmonpuddle), and within the city intrigue and terrorism. One such problem was a cult of Demon worshippers from Dusk were attempting to open a portal to the Nine Hells (a lesser realm). Vox highjacked this portal to enter Uz secretly at the location she wished. This unfortunately brought about the tragedy of Gluttony, as the Dread Sin of Gluttony emerged and started to slaughter the inhabitants of Felicity. If King Iscalon did not have a Tuthian Archenstone, the Veritian Leaf may have been destroyed. This Finger of Vox eventually succeeded at her end of the plan, getting Resentment to traverse into Neih.
The second part of the plan was to set a trap. The second Vox first started by getting the Arkenstone of Tuth from the king of Tumult. She does so by given him the illusion of a final dance with his dead wife and the assurance of the safety of his son (which she did not intend to keep). With that achieved, she tore the Arkenstone from the king's limp arm, and left for Val'ul, a city where she was sowing the seeds of the plan for nearly a generation.
Val'ul was a power house of magic and arrogance, so the paraclete sought to use that hubris and power to fuel the trap. She knew the city was likely not to survive, but she hoped the glory would blind the mages to this fact. The city was governed by eight archmages, and she needed but a majority of their votes for the plan to work. Fortuitously, one of the archmages that was adamantly against the plan disappeared early in her efforts thanks to some assassins she hired. She eventually got four of the seven on board (all except the Mirabels and the Fenfyxes). The flaming serpent was summoned and the entire might of Val'ul was launched at it.
They quickly learned that they were fighting the flames of hell with a bucket of water. With the Arkenstone having but a small effect on Resentment, and with one breath a quarter of Val'ul was set ablaze, things quickly turned for the worst. Luckily, Vincent Netheridge, the Paraclete of the Branch of Tuth, had the means to stop time over a large area, trapping Resentment until someone could find a way to deal with it.
A party of adventurers went into the temporal bubble covering Val'ul, located the Finger of Vox, and in combat, forced her to retreat enraged at the failure to kill Resentment. The whole temporal bubble was later bargained to Tid Navarande, the Hahlian Law of the Present, trapping the city and Resentment in it's museum for eternity.
