Vincent Netherridge
Vincent is the current paraclete of Tuth.
During the Sundering era (year 430), born in Tuthis of the Stem Region (presently called Nigthmare in the Dormant Lands), a man named Vincent Netherridge became a prominent magician and disciple in the branch of Tuth. He was chosen as Paraclete after he accomplished a Dream Ending journey, returning with a coveted Tuthian Marble of great power. The previous paraclete even stepped down after hearing of this feat (mostly paracletes are chosen after the death of the previous one). But he proved an inefficient and frustrating paraclete, spending most his time studying or journeying to Tuth. When he was nearing the end of his life, the other paracletes were hopeful to have a new Paraclete of Tuth, and when Vincent disappeared for a decade they chose a new paraclete. He returned changed, having had met the Seraph of Fall. Whether he struck a deal with the deity or taken something from him nobody knows. He reclaimed his seat as paraclete, and reigned ever since, adventuring and getting involved in many events
He has lived over six centuries, though he spent much of those years in Tuth Dream Ending, collecting a jar of Tuthian Marbles. After meeting one Lord Kourend Slamonpuddle, there was an accident leading to most his marbles being scattered throughout the planes of Veritas. He took that in stride.
In the year 1040, Vincent was sent to watch over Vox at Val'ul. Not caring too much about the fate of Val'ul, he did nothing to stop the summoning of Resentment there that lead to the destruction of the city. But when Vox began to falter and it looked like the demonic dragon was to be unleashed on the Veritian Leaf, he thought it best to intervene. He had acquired a floating vehicle called the Tuthian Diamond in his travels in Tuth, and used it as a catalyst to call Tid Navarende. They made a deal to freeze the city in a temporal bubble. Adventurers later would make a new deal selling the city to keep Resentment from being freed.
Vincent was dejected when he lost his ship. He wondered if he should spend another century making a new one. He stayed at Tel'ul for a few years after that, using it as a home base for his future journeys. He even fought in the defense of that city in 1041, though he was not the most useful unit having been easily overwhelmed by Dormant forces. Most importantly, he stayed there for his helpful wingman, Malvo, as he attempted to court Saint Ashley Ruah. He would stay around that area for the next fifty or so years, as he made some good friends and wanted to witness all that was happening.
Vincent disappeared in the year 1100. The branch of Tuth, mostly glad for his disappearance, has placed a temporary leader in charge until his return.
