The Collective Flesh, WE

The Collective Flesh known as WE was an experimental artificial intelligence made of organic material. The project was spearheaded by the Rat Division, as they were trying to create an A.I. that had the healing capability of organisms while maintaining the longevity of machine. Using the materials provided for them in political prisoners, they made this malleable flesh golem in the depths of the Rat mothership.
While it was a secret project, the Superintendent put a large amount of resources into the project after the loss at Menthal. Few realized the plot in motion, as the ship's A.I. was slowly feeding the population of the ship to this project. Years after the Winter Contingency, the population of the ship was half it once was, and people could no longer deny it, leading to an attempted resistance against the Superintendent. These rebels attempted to get a message out to the outer fleet, but were seen by the A.I.'s all seeing eyes. With this attempt, a full purge was instituted on the civilian population, all feeding the growing WE.
Despite the size of this expanding flesh, it was defeated by the party of Stone, G0-4W4Y, Maelen, Saladin, and Author.
