Ring of Mind Shielding

In the early years of the Veritian Leaf, seven rings of mind shielding were made in the city of Tuthis by the Tuthian branch of the Church of Veritas. Mirroring magics used by the aberrations from that plain, these rings had the power to hold the wearer's soul if they should pass. Somewhat blasphemous, this program was quickly shut down, but the rings were not destroyed, being passed down to local lords of the lands later claimed by the Dormant. They would by left to obscurity until the eleventh century, where a dwarf of the Mineosian branch named Agnus Rockfella found old files on the rings and began his journey to collect them.
By the twelth century, Agnus had collected four such rings, and knew where the fifth was located though he would not be able to collect it until the death of Lady Mirabel, the current holder. The sixth and seventh ones were out of his grasp though, with one being lost in the hubbub of the Bull filming industry (holding the soul of the GRG criminal Zindan Eagerwhisper) and the other was cast into the nether attached to the arm of Quinlan Elias (holding the soul of his wife). Agnus still hopes to find them, and at times met with Quinlan to scour its location, but the trail runs cold.
