Order of the Iron Stomach

The Order of the Iron Stomach is an inter planar order of Ussaire Hunters trying to kill the cosmic hunter, the Dread Sin Gluttony. Their main purpose is the hunt of that wandering demon god, but they also chase after the sheddings of this elusive deity, protect potential prey, and seek to establish a stronghold in Gluttony's great desert, the Sands of Consumption. To become a full member of the order, initiates must eat a scale of the Dread Sin and survive, giving them resistance to his powers. 
The Order was founded by the Mineosian celestial, the Virtue Discipline, and his lover Temperence. Though they founded the order and at times join demon hunts, the Order has long surpassed an angelic mission for righteousness within the planes. A tuthian bent took over the Order's values, as the majority of the Dread Sin's victims are in the creative underbelly of Tuth. Thus, seeking to avenge their loss comrades, a group of psychic creatures joined the Order and eventually usurp its methodology. It wasn't enough to cause a schism within the Order, but there are tensions between the traditionalist virtueous and the avenging psyonics. Yet, unity transcends methodology, so the order remains.
