McSquigly Empire

The McSquigly Empire is a restaurent franchise from the Eternal Empire that made its way to the Veritian Leaf after the invasion of 1102. Its a fast food joint which specialize in fried squid. Its most popular dish is its squid poutine, but also has a mean lobster. Each franchise store is manned by a mind flayer fry cook and a teenage human clone, their origins a mystery to everyone. Even their food source is unknown, with their logistics seeming to appear out of nowhere. This mystery is tolerated for its cheap food and wacky merch. A couple decades after the invasion, every city of note on the Veritian Leaf has a McSquigly or two.
The staff, when questioned, would suggest they send their inquiries and complaints to corporate, and would provide and seemingly legitimate address to post it to, but on further investigation would always reach dead ends. Some theorize that it is some illithid trap, and that corporate is some elder brain sapping the minds of those who eat there. But the franchise has been a part of the Eternal Empire for thousands of years, and nothing of note has yet to happen. It is either a very long con, or their simply a legitimate business that has their formula down and provides a great service.
