Lieutenant Vengeance
Vengeance is the Lieutenant of the Dread Sin of Lust. He is the embodiment of the passion for justice for oneself, being composed of the feelings of wrongs never being made right. Thus, though he is evil like all the pantheon of Uz, he evil is directed towards evil people. It is difficult for him to harm the innocent, as he cannot justify it. He attempts to corrupt the innocent to perpetuate the passionate and unrestrained anger for justice.
Vengeance is madly attracted to Lust, but as they are both sin, they keep trying to force themselves on the other. It is a cycle of passion and rage where both are trying to subdue the other. It is not love that they have, only desire. Vengeance will tear out the heart of anyone Lust fancies. He is the spurned lover, taking his hatred and vengeance out on the world. But, out of the two, Vengeance is the least impulsive and primal. He is cold and calculating, often concocting manipulative plans to get into Lust's pants or destroy her suitors.

Divine Goals & Aspirations
He is the avenging spirit of Uz, vigorously bringing punishment to those who have done wrong. He cares nothing for mercy or forgiveness, and the avenging does not even need to be against an evil act. An evil crook may want vengeance against the law enforcer who arrested him, and Vengeance will provide. There is no nuance, only the desire for judgement.

Personal history
On the Veritian Leaf, in the 10th century of the Veritian calendar, the assassin Malvo dabbled in Ussaire occultism and had called upon Vengeance. He did so while in prison for regicide. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place, as people after his head were slowly honing in on him and he needed aid escaping it. Thus, the research on the topic led him to call upon the aid of the lieutenant, who, seeing the darkness in Malvo, answered with the sound of a beating heart.
To call upon Vengeance's power from outside of Uz, one must tear the heart out of someone. Not only that, but the victim must be someone worth avenging. At first, Vengeance pointed to this halfling missionary that sold herself to life in prison in order to bring the love of More to the place, but Malvo chose another victim, a prisoner slave who did nothing to no one. With the tearing of the heart, Vengeance gave Malvo the power to defeat his pursuers. The ensuing power made Malvo cripple the halfling though, making him question the power he called upon.
Malvo would go on to call upon Vengeance twice more, once in killing Doctor Caskajaro and another time in his attempt to resist King Bedrich in taking the throne. But, after bending the knee to the Frozen Empress, Malvo began to change his ways. He did not call upon Vengeance again. But Vengeance promised his return, and did so later.
In the year 1041, during the Battle of Tel'ul, Malvo, who was leading the defense, heard that his son was being held by one of the Dormant Cult's minions in Oriaphia. He went there with his allies and defeated the minion, but when he went to get his son he was confronted with Vengeance. Malvo had never met his own son and was looking forward to this reunion to arrive as a hero. But Vengeance used that moment to enact vengeance. Malvo was held to account, the souls of those he killed dragging him into the tar of the Lieutenant. Malvo had to make a decision, and he chose to run away. And with that Vengeance was able to dig his way into the son's heart, finding a new stronghold on the Veritian Leaf.
