Judas

Judas was the creation of Alexander William.   Judas was a Aasimar from the Dormant Lands. He was of unknown parentage, though he was ostracized for his celestial blood, as people expected it had something to do with the Dormant. What's worse, he was infected with the curse of Lycanthropy thanks to a wandering werewolf tribe. He became a pariah to most his entire youth. Yet, he met the church of Mineos, who both accepted his celestial blood and cured him of his curse. He thus served the church, though he did not become a member. His service brought him to Felicity, where he joined the party of Kourend Salmonpuddle in fighting the Demon Trouble and the Frozen War. He also was one of the killers of King Iscalon the Fourth.   After the escape of the Pit, as Judas was condemned to life there with the other assassins, Judas turned his attentions to a new goal. During the Frozen War, Judas got interested in the study of the Seraphs, mainly the Seraph of Winter. He spent a bit more time with his friends and the airship Dragon of the Deep, but eventually moved to Silihadron, where he learned under Jack Frost and Rasputisa about the Seraph of Winter.   Under the influence of the Persistent, Judas was indoctrinated in the frustrating reality of Neih's seasonal changes. And when he learned of Tumult's victory over the Mineosian Crusade, especially with the knowledge that the country was led by a servant of Spring, the lich Bedrich (he did not know that Bedrich had little to do with that victory). But, things started to move for the Persistent, because in the conflict at Dusk, they learned of a Hall of Seasons being formed, a chamber with a direct connection to the Seraphs.   But, before they sought anything with that news, Rasputisa went into a deep sleep. The Frozen War was taxing on the old spirit, and he needed rest to heal up. Now Judas only had Jack Frost to learn from, and Jack's madness began to rub off on the aasimar. Silihadron was more concerned with the Dormant Cult, and were allying with Tumult's undead war machine, against the pleas of Jack Frost. The desperation was contagious in their frozen palace.   Six months after the disappearance of Val'ul, Jack Frost felt Winter appear over the city of Tel'ul, and heard her cries of pain. They both quickly went to the dwarven city-state, finding that a flash winter occurred after Winter confronted a strange metallic vehicle that emerged out of the earth. They met Malvo on entering, and Jack could see the presence of Winter on him. They promptly drugged and kidnapped him back to their frozen fortress to find out from him the whereabouts of the Hall of Seasons. But Malvo was an important figure of that city, and a party of adventurers chased the kidnappers and raided the fort.   Malvo snuck out after waking up and returned to the raiding party to save them from the fort's defenses. But Judas and Jack caught them before they left. They went the diplomatic route, as they were once allies in the Frozen War, but when they learned of Jack Frost's madness, they soured at their plan even if it meant defeating the Lich King Bedrich. Elias, a worshipper of Summer, was soundly against the Persistent. They fled through a portal back to the Hall of Seasons, mocking Jack with how close he was of gaining his prize.   Judas was still keen on defeating the puppet of Spring, and worked to do the job that the party declined. As Jack Frost went to Frit to repair his staff (at the same time getting a group of Frost Giants under his employ), Judas went to the wedding of King Bedrich and Lady Mirabel in order to find someone connected to Summer. He hoped to catch Elias there, which he did, but also found the High Priest of Third, a center of Summer Worship. He promptly killed the high priest to syphon the essence of Summer for their weapon. It was not as strong as Elias' connection, so the two had to test it out first. They went to Tel'ul, knowing that the city was besieged by the Dormant, and tested their weapon there on the Ul instillation there.   While Jack was testing the weapon, Judas went after Elias to get more essence of Summer, but died in the attempt. He did not get to see the success of their weapon, as the Ul was destroyed, the echo of Spring lingering there being quieted.
