Hunter Karmal
Karmal was the creation of Alexander William. He is a druid of the circle of stars.
After the death of Judas Dharkness, Head Huntress Aleesia sought to finish the mission her son was sent to do to honor him. She brought a number of hunters with her to Dusk to kill the cambion Sestycius. One of these hunters was Karmal. He was a half-elf druid, tasked by the hunters to work with local adventurers to do more infiltration and sabotage missions. He joined Kourend Salmonpuddle, Malvo, Elias Meadowgrove, and Gojira in the Dusk conflict, being one of the key players in the assassination of the Lady of Dusk and Sestycius, as well as one who pushed back the avatar of Asmodeus.
Karmal is thought to have perished after Neih ejected Asmodeus, as no sign of him was found, the only survivor of the Hunters being Aleesia. What happened to him is not well known, but during the conflict, he and the rest of his party found a Hall of Seasons. While the others bent the knee to the other three seraphs, Karmal bowed to the Stillborn God Fall, the god of the Dormant Cult. While Fall assisted them (despite knowing they wished his defeat in the Dormant conflict), he did so with a plot in mind to defeat Draught, the home of the hunters. He tried to corrupt Karmal, giving him power and the delusions of claiming the hunters for himself. After the fight with Asmodeus, Fall brought Karmal aside with the incapacitated Aleesia, and gave him the option to kill her. If he accepted, Fall would have gained a puppet to break the back of a city that was hindering his advance on the Veritian Leaf. But he refused, which angered Fall. Karmal was then banished temporarily to another realm.
He would return, though it would take nearly a decade. This achievement did not go unnoticed by his fellow hunters, and Aleesia promoted him to second-in-command, a post that was not filled since Gabriel died. When Aleesia died fighting King Bedrich near Tel'ul, Karmal would become the leader of the Hunters of Dharkness. He holds that position to this day.
