Ghidorah

Ghidorah was a titan beast of the season of Fall prior to the Summer in which the Veritian Leaf grew. Titan beasts were creatures born in the season of Fall that feed on the dead leaves at the base of the cosmic tree. Ghidorah lived near the Abkhazia region, and was the rival to the titan Gojira. He was a devout follower of the Seraph of Fall, budding heads with a group of titans and civilized peoples who followed the seraph of Spring. This rivalry culminated in the battle of Dragonsburg, where Ghidorah was initially defeated, though his rival Gojira was equally mortally wounded.   But that was not the end of Ghidorah. Fall saw that Spring gifted Gojira a second chance by cocooning the titan until he recovered (which brought Gojira to the Veritian Leaf thousands of years in the future). While Fall could not raise the dead like Spring could, Ghidorah had a unique regeneration capability (like hydras) that Fall used. He stored the essence of Ghidorah to use for later, growing a new Ghidorah for future use. When Fall attacked the Veritian Leaf, he sensed Gojira on the leaf, and thus grew his challenger. A rematch he thought appropriate entertainment that Neih would agree of.   There was a snag, though. When he tried to regrow Ghidorah, using some captured Eternal Empire tech he found in Pillar, the three heads refused to combine, becoming three different entities. Alpha, Ni and Kevin were reborn, but weaker for not being together. They were still strong entities though, and Fall assigned them to the Clot, giving Alpha the leadership of the three. Kevin was sent to Tel'ul, as his idiocy was not helpful. They thought it a easy enough assignment for him. Ni was sent to Oriaphia to do the Trial of Inheritance, hoping to take that fey city from within. They thought his rage and strength would be sufficient. Alpha went to another front, fighting with Fall's Watcher against the Shadar-Kai.   Kevin's mission was the easiest but he was the first to fail. Tasked to assist the insurgents in the Tel'ul police force, the Clot's plans in Tel'ul were discovered and foiled by three heroes from Tumult, Malvo, Gojira and Elias. In a collaborative attack on the fort with the Garkalan crime family, Kevin was slain by Gojira. His death sparked the renewed effort to conquer the eastern side of the Southern Farmlands.   Ni's mission was to win the dukedom of Oriaphia by completing the trials of inheritance. He competed against Kalethorn Nur, hiding in a female form to try to win the Duke of Oriaphia's favor. Ni proved a poor fit for this mission, losing to the eight year old half-elf's wit. When he heard of the death of Kevin, he sought to avenge it somehow. One of the heroes of Tel'ul, Elias Meadowgrove, visited the city and began a correspondence with the fey resistance there, so Ni began intercepting their mail to see how he could interfere. He was limited though, as the Duke had full sight over his domain and would not allow open violence without his expressed go ahead. So, when he caught wind of a connection between the Tel'ul resistance and his rival Kalethorn Nur, he sought permission to kidnap the kid. If he did not get permission, he would have simply faked the kidnapping, hoping to still lure out the heroes to an ambush. Yet, surprisingly, the Duke agreed. He did so to lure out Malvo, as Vengeance had communicated with the archfey about a little plan the Duke found interesting. The trap was set, and Ni's ambush on the heroes ended with his death.   Alpha worked a different mission with the Clot. After the conquest of the interleaf gate system, Alpha was sent to the connected leaves to prevent retaliation from the fey and other races there. It was the Clot's setup for the eventual dormanting of those leaves. Yet, the leaf he found the most interesting was the mostly uninhabited leaf Neih Datid because he found an Hahlian artifact there that allowed him to travel back in time. After hearing of Kevin's death by the hands of Gojira, he sought to use his new found tool. He went back in time to the epic showdown they had at the battle of Dragonsburg, and pretended to be an oracle for the side of Fall. With his foreknowledge of the battle, history began to change.   Back in the present, at the battle of Tel'ul, Gojira, being knocked to sleep by the golem Indolence, has a dream of that battle long ago, but things seem to be different. They were losing rather than winning. He woke up before seeing the end of that dream, but when he fell defending the western breach during the second attack, he felt a tinge in his soul like he was long dead. Alpha had succeeded in the change. But Spring does not abandon her faithful. Gojira was never alive, being but the echo of her servant, sent from the Ul of Val'ul to finish the fight against his rival.   Echo versus regrown, two memories duking it out on the Veritian Leaf. Alpha remains, and the loyal gangsters of Gojira, hero of Tel'ul, shall finish the fight.
