Fall's Watcher
Fall's Watchers are celestial beings of Neih, a creation of the Seraph of Fall. Watchers were angels Fall had in the management of the decay of Summer. They were created for the purpose of killing continental leaves during the period of Dormant (between Summer and Fall). After the season change, the surviving numbers become guardians over Fall. But the season of decay has little opportunity for these warring angels. Shunned by the surviving worlds, they roam the branches of Neih for a place to roost and wait for the return of Summer where they could serve their purpose once more. Few make it past Winter and Spring, as the cold embrace of Winter and the mourning laments of Spring call the battle worn angels to the rest of death. Ultimately, watchers are the witnesses and perpetrators of ending worlds, guilt ridden for the actions they took part in for the seraph of Fall. They try to reason their way out of it, but 30,000 years of sitting in their shame tends to kill them eventually. The few that make to the next Summer do not do so unscathed. They hope to finally get their reward of war with the Dormant again, joining Fall's early attacks on continental leaves of Summer. Yet, these old models of watchers are weakened by a strong sense of guilt.
One such celestial joined the Dormant Advance on the Veritian Leaf, fighting on the eastern front in the march north. While he aided in the conquest of Glade, his forces were sent further east into the Eastern Fey Wilds to fight the Shadar-Kai and Oriaphia. He successfully conquered the fey inter-continental leaf gate network, cutting off Shadar-Kai reinforcement and almost assuring fey wilds at least until the elven country of Dakath. But then news of the Clot's failure in Tel'ul changed that. The dwarven city was mounting a real defense, one that warned of making Fall's attempt at taking Oriaphia more difficult. Thus he joined Ra and Gavel with a few divisions of his harpy airforce to claim the city of Tel'ul.
The battle of Tel'ul was a failure. Gavel died far too quickly, and their forces were being routed by the betrayal of Ra's yuan-ti forces, ambushes of kobolds, an undead dragon, goblin traps, and terrible luck when it came to artillery. Even the second wave was repulsed, though they managed to tear down their walls and kill some of their leadership. Fall's Watcher looked for a way to still end this in his favor, so when he saw Elias Meadowgrove, a paladin of Summer, he challenged her to combat. She accepted. He wanted to at least kill her for Fall, but during the fight, Ra died first and Fall saw it as his opportunity to take over the entirety of the Eastern Front. So he retreated. But while retreating, Elias called upon Summer to aid her in striking the angel down. Summer sent energy down on his loyal servant, and with a cry for the fallen comrade Pops, Elias cast a smiting bolt of a javelin at Fall's watcher, disintegrating the angel.
