Panatheotic Church

The Human Church devoted to the gods of creation. The official church of The Strongbow Empire, the Church holds enormous power over the populous, they direct almost every aspect of life and culture among the people in the Empire. While persecution of other religions is not a primary tenant of the religion, the Church is not necessarily kind to those outside of itself. The Church raises many who would face evil in an attempt to vanquish it.

Their most common description of the gods is seated at a long banquet table, celebrating their work on the Prime-Material Plane. Sarenrae is often depicted as seated at the head, as she guided the process of the formation of the world. Many deities are left out from the table, namely the gods of dominance, the risen gods, the minor dwarven gods, and the minor elven gods. Because, according to tradition, they did not participate in the creation of the world nor its inhabitants, therefore hold no right to be worshiped by mortals.

Structure

• The Archbishop guides the church, as well as establishes doctrine.

• Bishops are sent to each parish to carry out the word of the Archbishop and to advise to the local magistrate.

• Clerics of specific deities carry out the day to day tasks inside the temples

• Paladins are trained to be the divine law incarnate in the populous

Public Agenda

To assist in the public lives of the people and to eventually push out every other religion. The eradication of evil also holds a large sway over the agenda of the Church.

History

Founded before Starfall, the Church began once groups of people began to congregate to worship the gods. Often at direct competition with the risen gods, the Church finally fully organized in 355 TW, and founded the city called Civiviso.
