Beauty Ideals

While might is viewed as the most inspiring trait, beauty follows closely. Height and symmetry are valued above all else.

Gender Ideals

Men are required to enter the military for five years after their first child is born, thus physical or magical might are valued highly in men. Women, while permitted to enter the military, are highly pressured to stay behind and keep the home.

Courtship Ideals

Women are expected to try to marry above their familial standing, while men are only taught to look for beauty. No dowries exist in the culture of the Ulifarians, there is however heavy emphasis on the binding of the family. Familial names are combined, the first syllable or couplet belongs to the paternal line and the second syllable or couplet belongs to the maternal line.
