Elder Harval Greenwillow

Elder Harval Greenwillow has spent more than a century as a guiding hand within The Emerald Enclave, standing between civilization’s steady expansion and the untamed wilds that resist it. Unlike the more radical elements of the Enclave who demand the eradication of settlements, Harval believes in measured stewardship—a careful balance where nature and civilization can coexist, but never at the cost of the land’s vitality. Once a wandering druid, he traveled the breadth of Faerûn, from the ancient forests of Cormanthor to the windswept plains of the High Moor, learning the shifting rhythms of nature’s will. Through his journeys, he became a scholar of druidic law and elemental forces, shaping him into an elder whose wisdom is sought not just by druids, but by rangers, elves, and even cautious human lords looking to avoid nature’s wrath.   Despite his patience and measured approach, Harval is no idle philosopher. He has defended sacred groves from poachers, toppled logging camps that ignored warnings, and led Enclave emissaries in tense negotiations with city leaders seeking to expand beyond their means. His presence is one of quiet strength—his age-lined face and silver-threaded hair mark him as a relic of older traditions, but his piercing green eyes still burn with the will of the wild. While some in the Enclave push for a return to a world untouched by civilization, Harval remains the voice of reason, reminding both sides that true balance is not won by fire and blood, but by wisdom, patience, and the will to act when necessary.
