Elementan Tower

"Ready to start learning?"

Purpose / Function

Originally, made in 1882, this large house was meant for a large wealthy family to live in due to its large size and four stories. It also had a rather nice spot propped up against the edge of the tamed woods nearby which would give a greater sense of nature. It was made to last with a solid foundation and refine materials used to build the structure. Since this building was made in Miyagi, it was still meant as a gift to the American people of Ordan and thus was also meant to represent great pride for the Japanese people in their architecture and skill as well as a sign of friendship.

Alterations

While the house was certainly suitable for a large family once it was done, there was little interest in the home due to its location in the town. Most people wanted to be near the shrine to Stellon, which stood tall on almost the opposite end of the community while the house was placed on the edge. Not to mention, not a lot of families were that big during the time this was made and so little people had the need to flaunt their wealth over purchasing a large house even for the social status that could be more effective in buying a house closer to the tower-like shrine. Of course, Water, her husband, and newborn daughter, Grace, moved into the house only two years after being built. As Grace grew older and the more Elementans were born, the more the house shifted into a comfortable command center for everything Elementan. Even the expansive backyard was changed to be more of a training area while the houses second floor, intended to be used as a large storage area, was divided into rooms.

Architecture

Overall, the house was made in a gassho-style with a wide triangle-shaped roof and square-shaped bottom with a jikugumi support. However, this house is ambitious with the architect making the upper two stories much more distinct, which is not common in this style of housing or at least isn't easily visible. This is what lead the people in Miyagi to have referred to it as a tower, though it has no function of one. In any case, the structure is made mostly of wood and while normally the roof was be made with straw, it was later replaced with a type of wooden paneling. No nails are used to keep this house together, instead interlocking grooves are carved into the wood pieces and fitted together tightly interlocking.

History

Having little time of existing before Water and her family moved in, most of its history is shared with that of the Elementans. For a while, it was popular as it had become the home of Water's child who lived there with her father for a few years until other Elementans were born. They were sent to Grace as she was the only one with experience in having the ability to control the elements with human limitations. Then, as the Elementans became more of a protective force, the house was a safe haven for Elementans and a clear location to go to should someone needed help with anything. In recent years, since the popularity of Stellon died, so died the interest in Miyagi, however, the Elementan Tower is what keeps Miyagi in the minds of Ordanians seconded only to the luxury hotel.
