The Boss

The Boss is the head honcho. He is the person you will be answering to, if you are ever able to make it into The Mafias. You must obey him and do as he says. Do not question him and do not talk back to him. Those two things are not tolerated by any boss.

As a quick mention, every team is different. For your sake I'll be as general as possible and try not to go into the details and the differences teams can have. (You're welcome.)

To Be a Boss...

But before you can even think about becoming a boss you will begin at the bottom, obviously, starting off as a Soldier. Once you've been deemed worthy (and if you're incredibly lucky) you will be able to move up and become one of the various roles on the team. Most of the people end up being a Fighter or a Gun-Man.

After that, it's really up to what team you find yourself on, but if you have the experience and ruthlessness, I'm sure you'll do just fine. And you will be able to make your way through this cut-throat mafia world.

Qualifications

If for some reason you're of high enough rank to even think about this role, you'll need to be several things. First, you need to have been on this team for at least fifteen years. Second, you need to have led in multiple missions, and by multiple I mean more than five. Third, you need to have some experience in every role of the team. There are others, but I doubt you'll ever get to a high enough rank to even dream about this title.

Speaking of rank, to even try to become a boss you must be a The Captain or The Right-Hand Man for at least three years. (The preferred length is five years.)

Responsibilities

The Boss mainly assigns jobs and finds/creates tasks or missions for the team to do. First, when it comes to tasks or missions, sometimes it will be for a client or some other criminal team/organization that needs the mafia team's expertice and tools. Most of the time, however, these tasks and missions are made by The Boss to help further his and/or the team's goals.

Second, during a task or mission, The Boss will assign jobs for each person in the team. He will also be responsible for paying the team members once the mission is complete. Occasionally, the success or failure of the mission will be placed on The Boss, however, this varies from team to team.

And third, but most importantly, The Boss creates and plans the team's goal. This is what The Boss spends most of his time doing. These goals and plans are laid out in the contract most mafia Bosses have the soon-to-be subordinates sign.

This varies so hilariously much, I don't even know if I can get into it.
