On Eihlari, a proctor is the most junior teacher in a classroom. Proctors have completed their field immersion years, and work under the guidance and supervision of two maestros.
Career
Qualifications
A proctor must have completed, at minimum, a full primary education. An additional year of field immersion may be necessary if a proctor chooses to teach a specialized subject.
Career Progression
Proctor is the first stage in the standard education career. However, not all proctors progress to maestros; it is common for a proctor with a particular specialty to switch to a career path within that specialty. Similarly, people from other specialties may switch to an education career, but they must begin as proctors even if they held advanced positions in their previous fields.

Purpose
The primary role of a proctor is to gain teaching experience through mentorship. Because proctors are generally the youngest intructors, students often feel more comfortable with them than with the accredited maestros.
Demographics
Approximately half of Eihlarians who complete their primary education enter immersion as proctors.
