Vargas Vallakovich
Baron Vargas Vallakovich
Vargas Vallakovich was the last Burgomaster of Vallaki of his line. He was the husband of Lydia Petrovna, and the father of Victor Vallakovich. All presumably died in the Revolt of Vallaki following the Feast of Saint Andal.
Vargas had a troubled youth, mistreated greatly by his own father. The odd festival was the only thing that could lift his spirits, that could make his life seem well for a moment. This grew up in an obsession later in his life, with the belief that festivals and happiness were the only things that could keep the despair of Barovia away. To this end, the Baron threw festivals weekly for years during his reign, much to the dismay of the inhabitants. They however were not allowed to display this dismay, as he cracked down hard on 'malicious unhappiness' with the aid of his captain of the guard Izek Strazni.
