Session 48: Bones for the Bone Zone

General Summary

Rolls a one, a three, and a four, almost killing the man by falling damage.
I guess the man's taking a detour.
Poor Rahadin.
The Wandering Apocalypse continue their fight against the crystal heart, beating up flying halberds. Ansgar Tyr and Darzin continue slowly climbing up the vines that saved them previously, and Beefcake gets knocked down from the bridge by the last remaining halberd, crashing through the roof below. Up on the tower some spawn show up as well, defying the sunlight. One grabs Ansgar Tyr and jumps down the tower, Ansgar only saved by the still attached vines. The fight goes on, and they eventually succeed in defeating all the enemies, as well as shattering the heart.
The Wandering Apocalypse continue downwards once again, getting somewhat confused at the layout of the castle and taking some detours. Eventually they go down into the larder of ill omens, where they come upon a very bony room. Strahd's very own bonarium. His bone throne in the bone zone, filled with all kinds of femurs, skulls, and other bone themed furniture. They push open the bone doors, gaze a bony gaze upon the bone table, and marvel at the bone chairs and bone piles. There's also a bone dragon skull that Bonecake now wears as an oversized bon(n)e(t). Deciding they've had quite enough bones for the day, they leave the bone zone and come upon a mongrelfolk outside. The man really wants them to go to their room, but they expertly convince him that the room they're in is their room. Poor Cyrus is going to check with Strahd von Zarovich whether this is true when he realizes these disgusting adventurers lied to him. They also run into an elevator trap, which is great. Featherfall has way too much value in this castle. They jump down the shaft and rejoin their allies. You'd think they'd be more wary of any shafts this close to the bone zone.
We end our evening on yet another set of stairs leading down, and a thoroughly lost party descending them.
