Session 29: Mission Improbable

General Summary

The Wandering Apocalypse have chosen their target. Fiona Wachter has been deemed guilty of being relevant to the plot, and therefore must die. Their target however must wait a bit longer, as they first go and see what is left of the Burgomaster's Mansion. Turns out, it wasn't too much. What is not charred by fire is at least touched by smoke, and all valuables seem to have been taken following the Revolt of Vallaki. This did not stop them however, and they did find out some of the more interesting aspects of the house. These include a room with only some heavy shackles attached to a wall, a magic mirror activated by children's rhyme, and a cellar filled to the brim with junk leading to a room with skeletal cats and a badly drawn teleportation circle.
Off they went to the Wachterhaus, down into the cellar from the side after carefully and kindly suggesting the guard to let them in. True masters of stealth, they didn't have the right identification on them and sadly triggered the guardians once they set foot within the cellar. The skeletons were quite swiftly dealt with, but the same can't be said for the bigger skeletons that followed shortly after. After being taken to bonetown for a while, they too are dealt with. This does leave a secret room filled with cultists. Good thing Zana is seemingly (accidentally) capable of creating unholy meteors and tossing them into small, enclosed spaces. The upper echelon of cultists died quite an unpleasant death, as the fireball incinerated about everything in the room. I too have learned not to place people in small enclosed spaces.
One thing however is now certain, Father Lucian Petrovich has perished. Damn those cultists, and damn Fiona Wachter for forcing us to throw a fireball at her cultists.
