hen The Dragon Folk came to the New Realm, they came through the power of seven elite omega dragons. These omegas drew power from their alphas and combined it to transport their species to another realm. The magic misfired, resulting in the death of omegas and alphas, and sending commoners to the New Realm. The folk that survived were mostly commoners, with alphas and a few omegas. At the beginning of their arrival, there was chaos, infighting, and violence. Many blamed the omegas for the disaster and demanded retribution.

Omega Rights Are Stripped

Over time, social order restored, but they stripped the omegas of many rights. They did not want the omegas to use their power because they were afraid of it. They were afraid that their power was uncontrollable and dangerous.

Opportunites are Unvieled

Some alphas were ambitious for power and saw this as an opportunity to gain more control. They manipulated the The Common Folk folks' fear and anger to change laws and reduce the freedoms of omegas. This increased the alpha's control over the omegas.

Religion is Used as Propaganda

The ambitious alphas worked with the Unified Religion to manipulate the folk. They created an ideology that said females were subservient to males. This made it easier to control the omegas. They understood that taking away someone’s power of self worth makes the person complacent. The ambitious alphas wanted to siphon the power of the omegas, but their magic did not allow it. The only way for the alphas to draw on the power of the omegas was for the omegas to give it willingly.

New Wedding Ceremonies Are Created

Through the Unified Religion, rituals and ceremonies manipulated the omegas to give their power to their alphas. They incorporated these rituals into the wedding ceremonies. By doing this, they made the power exchange “normal”, but it was far from normal.

The Imbalance of Power

The power exchange created an imbalance. An Omegas' power is not meant to be used by Alpha Dragons as it creates instability in them. The longer they hold the power, the more violent they become. Although alphas are powerful leaders, the power intoxicates their minds, and they are abusive. They idolized omegas as objects, subjecting them to abuse and torture. Some alphas hid their omegas, viewing them as treasure who never saw daylight. Omega daughters were educated to behave a certain way. After a while, omegas were oblivious to their self worth and believed what the Unified Religion preached. It was a downward spiral with no end in sight.

ragon folk are divided between two groups. The common folk who have no magical powers and are like humans. They look like humans, but are taller and stronger. Among the common folk are men, women, and children. The second group is magical and can transform into dragons. These are called alpha dragons and within this group are alpha males and omega females. They are called alpha and omega because of their strong personality traits. Alpha males are selfish, arrogant and territorial. They are also excellent leaders. Omegas are empathetic and selfless. They put others before themselves and bring balance. Both groups live in families or packs. Common parents will have common children, but sometimes they have alpha or omegas. Alpha packs will always have either an alpha son or an omega daughter. Because there are few omegas, alpha packs will have 2-3 alpha dragons per one omega.
