The Arano Transmission

The Arano Transmission was a secret message, that was leaked by the Frentierist faction's intelligence services at the conclusion of the Third Great Human Civil War, which placed blame for the conflict on Sofia Arano, the standing governor of the Line Systems Sector, who according to the message, ordered the assassination of Nyota Akende, the standing chancellor of the Transolar Union. The Arano Transmission was considered to be a major revelation about the origins in the war, and played a significant role in the peace negotiations afterward. The Arano Transmission was therefore a major factor in the formation of the Stellar League. However, some historians, those who still have access to the transmission believe that the transmission may have been falsified by the intelligence services who presented it.
The Arano transmission, written allegedly, by Sofia Arano, and directed to the Head of the Ministry of State Security Oda Halopainen for the Transolar Union, accuses Nyota Akende of bowing to the influences of a growing class of oligarchs that had arisen after the reorientation of the Union towards the development of private colonies over those sourced from government charters, particularly in the further flung reaches of the steadily expanding frontier. It excoriates, Akende for allowing the oligarchs to arise in the first place, and justifies the elimination of Akende as a result. It asks Halopainen to eliminate the chancellor under the guise of assassination from frontier seperatists and offers the head of the MSS an even more prominent position after Arano assumes the position of chancellor.
Though affecting the immediate aftermath of the Third Great Human Civil War, the Transmission has come under increasing scrutiny in recent years. For those that still have access to it, there is a certain level of concern for the directness and openness that the transmission has in its intent. It seems, all too likely that it was a hasty fabrication, made at the hands of an already dominant faction in the civil war, to secure its position at the bargaining table.
