Militia Captain Zang Dandong

Zang Dandong was a captain in Chang-Er's militia. He was a key leader in the capital sector before he was assassinated by mercenaries with high tech equipment. Raised by a military family near the frontlines of the ongoing conflict in the Chang-Er System, Zang was expected to keep up with military training from a young age. As a result, his secondary education was at a military academy. Zang was quickly shuffled into officer training, and was bound for a regular army unit. However, massive shortages of manpower, especially officers, within the government's militia saw Zang transfered into a militia unit.
Zang was appointed as a junior officer in the militia where he served admirably for several years. As officer attrition in the capital prefecture militia escalated dramatically, and unit cohesion began to break down he was assigned first as the second in command for the defense of Louyang, but was later given command of the city's entire militia force. While he excelled as one of the few capable militia officers remaining, he found himself completely overworked and noted high levels of stress in unit reports. On April 8th, 4501, Zang was ambushed by mercenaries armed with extrmely high technology weaponry while being transported to inspect a militia garrison. He was killed in this ambush, and the mercenaries, presumed to be members of the crew of the SS Good Times escaped from the scene of Zang's assassination.
