El Sonador
Demographics
The residents of El Sonador are either members of the carnivore legion or their slaves. Outsiders are usually captured and made into slaves or killed on the spot. Armed psychos roam the streets with slaves in cages like animals, bodies hang from streetlights and are full of smoke from torches made from human fat. The carnivore legion has little regard for cleanliness or tidiness and seem to delight in in making their home as hellish as possible.
History
El Sonador was a pre-Conflux community in the US state of Texas, close to the US Mexican border. What was unknown to many was the town was a major base of operations for the Los locos cartel who dug miles of tunnels and bunkers under the town. On the day of the Confluence the Los locos cartel members retreated into the underground tunnel network they dug under El Sonador. When the supplies in the bunker began to run low the Los locos left the underground to raid survival colonies around El Sonador. Over years of raiding and enslaveing the Los Locos's began to become more and more depraved. When and why the tradition of cannibalism developed and when they began to call themselves the Carnivore legion is unknown, but what is known is that over the many years of basking in there depravity and lurking in the underground caused many of them to change. Many in the Carnivore legion have began to degenerate into Primals, and many of them have lost the ability to speak or think and have become more monster then human. The Carnivore legion also turned El Sonador into a fortified bastion to death and slaughter using the remains of any who opposed them to scare off outsiders.
Points of interest
A sacred location to the carnivore legion is the pre-Conflux bad bobs butcher shop. It is basically a temple dedicated to blood, brutality and death.
