Claire was born into relative wealth, from her mother's side. Her mixed heritage originally gave her some trouble in her father's homeland of Daendra, but when her mother refused to back down because of her heritage, it made Claire much braver to stand up for hers.
When Claire's mother died, she left both her daughters' a considerable fortune for their futures. Claire used hers to attend the University of Kalvari where she studied politics. She became a high mark student there, going on to serve under several high ranking officials before returning to Daendra to work for Lord Hawkfel.
