Baatar (a.k.a. He of the Tapers)

Baatar is the head of the pantheon, and is the god of watchfulness and protection. He encourages his followers to aspire to dutifulness and vigilance against monstrous threats. He guides soldiers and watches over life above the mists, seeking to ensure the safety of all people. He has particular hatred towards the undead and aberrations.
His holy day is called Baatar's Vigil, held on the last seeing sky of each year.

Appearance

Baatar is depicted as a man in plate armour, with a helm obscuring all but watchful white eyes. He always has a hand on his sword and often appears tense.

Places of worship

He has a temple and shrine in each of the major cities and the vast majority of smaller settlements. However, he is considered to be jealous of the Nebograd Republic, due to its preference towards Nebesa of the Stars.

• His temple in Fenellore is the Thousand Wick Cathedral.
• His temple in Synfral is the Exalted Beacon.

Worshippers

Baatar is the most commonly worshipped god in the pantheon of primary deities. Most notably, he is worshipped by the Royal Family of the Kingdom of Fenellore, and by both Fenelloran and Synfralan soldiers.
