Retinor Eats and Feats Fest
In the city of Retinor , the capitol of Malminar, each summer a great art and cooking festival is held at the Queen's University. The Queen's University is a great school in Retinor that strives to provide education of all kinds to the citizenry of Malminar. The University consists of several schools, some more advanced than others, but all open to every person who is willing to do the work and demonstrate a talent for the more advanced schools.
The Summer Art and Culinary Festival is commonly referred to as the Retinor Eats and Feats Fest and it consists of culinary art demonstrations and contests, art displays of all sorts and physical art displays. The main draws for this month long festival are the food and acrobatics displays and contests.
The festival has been held every summer for the last 150 turns without fail, growing to a huge one month celebration of the creativity and inventiveness of the people of Malminar. Travelers from all over the continent of Halconiket and even from across the sea in the still habitable sections of the continent of Salbat travel to attend the event.
This is THE festival to find yourself in. Go. Don't think about it, don't wait for it to be the right time. Get to Retinor in the summer and experience the most of everything all at once. This fest could make a sleep deprived ulbanto smile and joke.The acrobatics and physical contest go on from opening bell to closing fireworks (provided by the amazing Wizards of Malminar and not to be missed). The food to be had is as varied as the people and cities on the continent. The art inspires wonder and amazement to all. Even a demon heart would swell at the wonder of it all. History
Begun in turn 2890 PB, the festival is a celebration of the founding, rise to power and the prosperity of Malminar. Originally just a culinary exposition and contest for the best recipes of the country, the festival rapidly became a combination of culinary art, traditional and non-traditional art, physical contests and displays or just about any talent any person could display, within reason. More categories and contest are added every few years and the festival has grown from one week in the summer to a full month long party for thousands of people.
The population of Retinor practically doubles during the festival and temporary tent cities pop up in the plains to the south of the city.
