Greetings Honored Friend,
I write to share my condolences on the death of one of your most respected members. My heart is heavy for your loss and my country mourns with your community. I knew of Manumet only by reputation, but do wish I would have been able to meet him in person before his passing. The stories told of deeds done, and his abject devotion to all of your community are like a salve to heal a soul.
Our philosophies seem, on the surface, to be at odds regarding the governance of people as a whole, but I am sure we can agree that the best interest of all is to not fall under the governance of beings who consider all us mortals as less than they, and a resource to be used how they like, without regard for our lives.
To this end I request, nay, entreat you, to join me in efforts to understand what may be happening in the lands you dwell.
As per previous communications, aid and supplies would be traded from lands in the east to assist in your continued survival and comfort in exchange for information pertaining to things on your side of the border. We request details of movements and preparations made by the others as well as any other details you can provide. Our continued support and aid will be guaranteed by your reply to this letter in the affirmative.
