Kūma
Kūma is the god of the forests and jungles of Koa'ki, particularly the Vaomatua. He is also the patron of the athletic competitions that hold a central place in Kaikai society. In essence, Kūma is all about testing oneself, finding and surpassing your own limits, and competing with others to bring out the most complete and powerful version you may become. In the jungles, this is done through hunting and being hunted. In the sports of the Kaikai, it through supreme accomplishment, both mental and physical. No strategy that succeeds is to be despised, but success is a broad idea, not a narrow one. Those who choose to cheat may win for a day, but they ultimately destroy their relationship to the game and their people, and diminish themselves inside. This is not success in the eyes of Kūma - it is a failure to see the broader picture. True success is found when your triumphs are broad enough to bring more connections, and more relationships.
