Elgfróði (ˈɛlɡˌfroːðɪ)
Elgfróði is one of the four great Vættir who guard the island of Eyju. As the guardian of the west, Elgfróði is responsible for protecting the Eyjamaður from all manner of threats that may come from the sea. Known for its massive size and strength, Elgfróði is a formidable presence on the island.
Elgfróði takes the form of a massive elk, towering over all who approach it. Its fur is a deep, rich brown, and its antlers are imposing and majestic. Its eyes are a piercing blue, and seem to shine with an inner light.
As a guardian spirit, Elgfróði possesses immense power and abilities that make it a force to be reckoned with. It has the ability to summon powerful storms and tidal waves, and can control the winds to drive enemy ships off course. It is also incredibly strong and agile, able to traverse the rugged terrain of the island with ease.
Elgfróði is fiercely protective of the Eyjamaður and will stop at nothing to defend them from harm. It has been known to charge into battle against attacking ships, using its massive antlers to ram and sink them. It can also summon other creatures of the forest to aid in the defense of the island.
