Personal history
Born in Thel Kundrim to a Tallman father (Athelstan Woodeward) and Tiefling mother (Sabine Woodeward), it seemed like Tobias didn't inherit any of his mother's traits except for sharper senses than his fellow Tallmen. A quiet child, there isn't much to be said about his younger years.
Though Tieflings were somewhat accepted in Thel Kundrim, the family soon had to move somewhere else. Materials were pricy and hard to come by for Herbalists living under the surface of the tallest mountain on the continent. They thus moved to the Dranidian Dynasty, to Stagfort, a haven for Herbalists of all kinds. What they figured out upon arriving there, though, was that racism was rampant in the city, with Tieflings, C'thagurs, Goblins and a plethora of others considered lower class citizens. Of course, that also meant that those citizens should know their place and refrain from stealing job opportunities from hard working Tallmen. Tobias was 10 years old and looked like any other Tallman child, so he didn't have any problem with his day to day activities. Tensions were high though, and the family shop was often vandalized by people who thought it disgusting for a Tallman to love a Tiefling and allow her opportunities that should be exclusive to normal citizens.
Everything changed with the birth of Olivia, the second child of the family, whose Tiefling heritage couldn't be mistaken. Tobias was 15 years old when she was born, and already he could see that things were taking a turn for the worst. The vandalism kept going and people would openly berate them on the streets, everyday. At 16 years old, their family changed forever. During the night, an angry mob of people burst through the front door of their home, intent on getting rid of them. Sabine and Athelstan pushed Tobias and Olivia through the backdoor, telling the teenager to run and wait for them at the river outside the city. And like that he flew away and waited for his parents at the appointed place. After more than 24 hours had passed and with a crying 1 year old child in his arms, he decided to go back into the city to see what was going on. Sadly, there was nothing left for him. His home was burned to the ground, the shop had been ransacked, and the bodies of his parents were hanged at the oak tree besides his house.
To flee the citizens that would probably wish to harm his sister, Tobias went to the slums, were other lower class citizens lived. He struggled to get by, but that was to be expected. He worked for scraps and took care of Olivia as best he could. He kept pushing back on his sorrow and desperation, ignoring the death of his parents as best he could. There was no time to wallow in self-pity, his sister needed him to take the lead after all. Two years later, Tobias was finally considered old enough to join the Guild of Champions at 18 years old. This could be a way for him to make money easily to provide for his small family, without the dangers of being branded a thief of normal citizens' jobs. He easily found himself a party, took on short quests, and left Olivia for the day in a rented room at the inn. This kept going for 2 more years, and things seemed to be going well. Tobias was making good money and was hoping he'd soon have enough so that they can leave Stagfort and go back to Thel Kundrim.
When he came back one day, as he entered the inn, he realized that his sister had been found out and adventurers were about to use her as target practice in the main room. As an Elven Sorcerer finished his casting chants, he jumped in the way to protect Olivia. The rays of fire hit him straight in the face, but at least his sister was unharmed. They both flew from the inn as fast as they could, running from the laughter and insults. Sadly this all complicated things terribly, Tobias was now almost completely blind and it would be difficult to find someone that would want to help him through this ordeal. At 20 years old his career as an adventurer was already coming to an end, he had a 5 years old child to take care of and provide for.
The group of adventurers he had been with pushed him away, nobody wanted a blind ranger, and especially one that decided to carry around his ward with him into battle. He was lucky enough that he could still find work in the city, though the money he had been saving was starting the dwindle. The plan to get away from Stagfort was growing more and more distant as the months went by.
And here we are, Tobias now at 23 years old with the young 8 years old Olivia, against the world. With the events that unfolded in the past, the two are absolutely inseparable, and if Tobias goes away on a quest for the Guild, the young Tiefling is sure to follow.

Bisexual, though there isn't much space for any of that in his current life.
Education
Received a good education when he was younger, since his parents were merchants. Learned to read and write and to do mathematics and the like. Even started to learn a trade, herbalist like his parents. Of course this all went down the drain when he became almost completely blind and became a lower class citizen.
Employment
Currently works as a Silver Bell adventurer in the Guild of Champions, when he can find a group that will take him.
Mental Trauma
Deeply affected by his parents murder, but won't let himself exteriorize the trauma since he has to take care of his younger sister. As mentioned, he remains positive and kind through it all, yet the cracks are starting to show...
