General Summary
We awoke to a dense fog surrounding the Tide's Breath. Captain Kaylin Gell had halted the boat to avoid reefs in the fog. Samuel felt that the fog seemed unnatural and the other's theorized that the fog might be tied to Kaylin previously touching the Orange Crystal Orb. The party glanced the vague sight of many eyes in the fog watching us (individual eyes, not pairs of eyes). Samuel heard the surface tension breaking, as fish like creatures climbed onto the deck. During the fight, one of the creatures made their way under deck, likely searching for the orb. Another ran towards the captain's quarters, but Brasin was able to intercept him. One creature had a magical longsword (Sword of Fathoms). We believe the creatures belonged to a Cult of Uk'otoa, a Leviathin of the deep. Uk'otoa has many followers in the aquatic societies. The captain decided to push hard to make our way to Palma Flora, a trading port city / vacation hotspot. The sooner we could get rid of the orb, the better.
Upon arrival, we made our way to the Storm's Edge, another boat belonging the Vurmas Trading Company who hired us to locate their missing crew. The captain of the Storm's Edge is an older half-elf with a shave head and short beard, named Ugnar. Ugnar informed us that they have been collecting similar items for a while (unknown collecter) and are aware that they can draw danger on the sea. Recently two members of Ugnar's crew had jumped into sea (unrecovered) and another ran into the jungle just outside of Palma Flora. Samuel offered to assist with locating the individual who ran into the jungle, which captain Ugnar accepted. We were offered 500 gp to find the one who ran into the wood, a young halfling man named Ventis. We discussed the mission with Captain Kaylin, who warned us of large poisonous insects in the jungle, as well as white and purple flowers with vines that will pull you in as you sleep.
