Educational programs of the University of Lille

Students at the University of Lille enroll either in the officer track program or in the generic program, depending on their entrance exam results. The officer track has a mandatory 5-years program, starting with a 3 years generic training followed by 2 years of military instructions and specialisation.   Meanwhile, the generic programs allow students to select modules from one faculty for 3 years to get a licence diploma from that faculty. The best students can then enter a competition whose winners enter a 2-year mastery program. This program includes a few specialisation modules and a huge research project, and to graduate students have to give a presentation of this project and pass a viva exam. They are then rewarded with the title of Master.
