Prof.
Tison was born from the union of a family of soldier and a family of scholars, and he has always been the perfect embodiment of both traditions. From a brilliant student, he became a brilliant soldier; during the
First Spanish War, he distinguished himself in the
artillery division at
His Majesty's side before His Majesty's ascension. When it came time for him to retire, he naturally came back to Lille to become a teacher.
Already while still in the army, he was developing new duelling techniques and sharing his inventions with his division, which undoubtedly contributed to France's crushing victory against Spain in both wars. In Lille, he continue to study battle techniques and strategies and to developing new types of magical duelling attacks and counters to our enemies' own.
When His Majesty was elected king, it is very naturally that Lille's faculty turned towards Prof. Tison to succeed him as our president and to guide us towards a new era. His contacts in the army and at court have proven very beneficial to Lille, and he has been able to argue in favour of us receiving an increased proportions of the royal research sponsorships, as well as accrued administrative and military support.
Nowadays, the biggest fight and only struggle left to Prof. Tison is to leave his mark on our University despite His Majesty's imposing legacy and still continued involvement with us.
