This month, His Majesty is going to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his reign. Those past four decades under his guidance have been a time of prosperity and pride for France. Let us go back to the ten most influential events that occurred during this time!   1) 1800-1810 Defeat of Spain in the Second Spanish War thanks to His Majesty and his subsequent election to the kingship.   2) 1810 European politics: Independence of the Kingdom of Belgium from the Spanish royal family thanks to France and His Majesty's support   3) 1810 French politics: Banishment of the Dark Lord after his evilness was revealed during the Second Spanish War and an harsh political battle between him and His Majesty.   4) 1810 Food: Invention of canned food.   5) 1812 Medicine: Outlawing of rituals all over France and the start of a huge experimentation movements in medicine and invention of enchanted medications, with the University of Lille and Prof. Debruyne at its forefront.   6) 1820s-1830s Arts: Invention of photography by the Universities of Paris and Lyon.   7) 1820s-1830s Travel: Development of air travel over long distance thanks to the invention of more stable magical constructs.   8) 1830s Fashion: Invention of the first automatic loom and sewing enchantments at the University of Lyon and Paris.   9) 1810-1850 Chemistry: Huge research movement in chemistry, marked by the discovery of new metal atoms by the Universities of Lille and Paris, and by the invention of a new blue chemical dye by the Parisians.   10) 1850 International diplomacy: Years of diplomatic efforts to forge links with China culminating by the visit of Chinese envoys next month.

His Majesty, King Bernard Flahaut

Origin: Lille.   Family magic: Light-based and fire magic.   Current role: Elected king of the French people.   History: His Majesty was born and educated in Lille, and it is where he started his academic career as a Master of Enchantments. Thanks to a few important contributions to the field, especially the invention of automatic enchantments, he quickly progressed to professor then president of the University of Lille.   During both Spanish wars, he volunteered in the army, first in the lone ace division, then in the general staff, where he played an important role in our victory. When His late Majesty King Louis died of his injuries at the end of the second war, King Bernard was naturally elected to succeed him.   Since then, he was had a very popular and successful reign, only marred by the constant threat of the Dark Lord that he nonetheless managed to exile to Prussia. However, with the recent discovery of the Chosen one, this is set to change soon.   Profile: His Majesty is well known for his charm, genuine care for the little people, and bon vivant. He always gives his full attention to his interlocutor, and you can always feel his deep care and interest for what you have to say.   His Majesty is also famous for his strong moral fibre and is complete unyielding and uncompromising regarding what he considers to be right.
