We have just learned at the editorial office that His Majesty's First Concellor, M^me Hortnese de Toulouse is set to coming to Lille this week. The reason for this excursion is rumoured to be an impromptu inspection of our university.
This news has got all of our staff in turmoils. Of course, Lille will welcome the Chinese envoys in a month, but His Majesty has made sure over the summer that everything was ready and so there is no need for another inspection so soon into the new academic year!
Has the court been notified of any troubles? Or is it just another interference from His Majesty to put pressure on Prof. Tison, his successor as president of the university?
Or could this rather be just an excuse for M^me de Toulouse to come to Lille to see her son who has just started his first year at the university in the prestigious officer track ?
The presence of her wife, Genevieve de Toulouse, for this trip seems to support this hypothesis. At young Aymeric's first stay away from home, and at that at the other end of the kingdom, he is bond to be homesick and to miss his family—although reports are that he is a very lively and spirited young man, already at the centre of a big social group.
Whatever the reason, Le Messager du Nord is ready to cover M^me de Toulouse's visit and to report to you everything that will take place at the university.

M^me Hortense de Toulouse

Origin: Toulouse, in the South of France. The de Toulouse are an old noble family who have ruled the city and held the borders for centuries.
Family magic: Battle magic.
Current role: His Majesty's First Advisor.
History: The city of Toulouse and its leading family were of course greatly impacted by the First Spanish War and were even occupied by the enemy. As a child, M^me Hortense de Toulouse played a central role in liaising with our troops and allowing them inside the city to free it, a decisive event in the war.
When the second war started, she was naturally admitted into the general staff in an advisory position, where she was able to display impressive skills in gathering relevant information and presenting them into actionable advice, managing teams of self important people, and handling high politics.
This led His Majesty to offer her a role into his government after the war, allowing her to play a central role in the political isolation of the Dark Lord and his eventual banishment. His Majesty rewarded M^me De Toulouse for this by promoting her as his First Advisor a few years later.
Profile: M^me de Toulouse is known for her incisive mind, always seeing through dissimulations and going straight to the heart of problems. Some would say that her wit is just as sharp and her words as cutting, and that her arrogance leads her to insult many who she perceives as lesser, but such gossipers are obviously not among us.
