Material Characteristics

Schintian Granite has a variety of possible colourations depending on where in the Valley it was mined and the veins of rock it was pulled from. Pure granite usually has a dark-brown, nearly black colour, but various other stones can create white or grey speckles, light brown or grey veins, or other features in the rock.

Physical & Chemical Properties

This type of rock is nearly impossible to destroy. Only powerful explosive magicks and specially enchanted pickaxes and chisels can harm it, and even then, it doesn't tend to crack or split easily.

Geology & Geography

This granite, as the name would suggest, is native to the mountainous region of Schinter.

History & Usage

Everyday use

This material forms the basic for most structures and fortresses in The Gratic Empire, as its incredible imperviousness to damage makes it an asset.
