With Eda's untimely passing, Morrigan and Zelem spent the next few days dealing with the aftermath.
Etmund did a public statement announcing himself as newly appointed guard captain and urged that the safety of the town was paramount in these trying times. As such, they would be implementing a curfew and calling up more guards than before to keep the peace and would focus efforts on finding who was behind the tragedy. An emergency council session was called that Morrigan was not invited to, later Gellan Primewater informed her that without the authority granted by Eda, she has lost her position. It seemed that Bards Gate would be appointing a new member to the council. It also seemed that Anders Solmor had left out of town and was personally overseeing the caravan he had sent north. Zelem used Sending to inform Hector of Anders departure, and to try and let him escape if at all possible.
Priscilla and Zelem met up once again at the inn and discussed business. She had formulated a plan, and knowing that the priests of Muir from the Abbey Isle likely had diamonds and a spellcaster capable of resurrection, if a favor or donation could be made to them it was possible to bring back their long lost friend. At the same time, an envoy from the Sea Princes, Captain Jackson Firelight, would sail to the island and agreed to meet on its neutral shores and discuss the matter of Kennmouth.
Morrigan visited her cousin Robin and discovered a grizzly sight. It seemed that with Morrigans command, her will had been completely broken and in her rage had slain Glasha. She pledged to serve at Morrigans request from then on out.
With the plan formulated, magic items were requisitioned from the local wizard, Morrigan requisitioned one of her newly inherited fishing ships for the voyage, and the pair prepared for the adventure ahead.

Important Characters

Morrigan Oweland - After the untimely death of her mother, Morrigan is now the Matriarch to the Oweland estate and The Oweland Family. She is the half-elven daughter of Eda Oweland and cousin of Robin Oweland.

Zelem - Tiefling, conman and swindler. Accomplice and partner in crime of Morrigan, has numerous alter-egos including Valor Windsail who is considered upstanding and is liked by the guard. Involved romantically with Priscilla Primewater, the sorceress daughter of the council member Gellan Primewater.

Robin Oweland - Morrigans cousin, her spirit has been crushed and she now serves at Morrigans request.

Anders Solmor - A council member, often the moderate one between those in favor of Bards Gates influence and the traditionalists who wish to become independent once more. He has spent a tremendous amount of wealth financing and preparing to begin overland trade between the local areas, as he believes it will be profitable. He is currently missing after personally leading an expedition north.

Priscilla Primewater - Gellan Primewaters daughter, powerful spellcaster, ambitious, cunning and romantically involved with Zelem. She has revealed her ambitious plans to overtake Saltmarsh and install herself as Baronness, and wishes Zelem to join in on her plans.

Hector - Morrigans step-father and worshiper of Hecate. Long thought dead, he survived his ordeal and continued on in the darkest recesses of the earth, biding his time and preparing for the coming of Morrigan. He has devoted his time and energy into raising an undead horde, and awaits Morrigans command as to how to use it. He is now in control of the Caves and all the forces within.

Etmund - Etmund is an old horsemen, now a Captain of the Guard in the Saltmarsh town watch. The party installed him there after casting the deciding vote in separation of the duties.
