Back at The Empty Net, the group celebrated their victory with a quick drink and some food while waiting for their employer to arrive. Not long after, Gelans underling Ichard Bexley entered the tavern and told the group to meet him there in the evening. A few games of Bullsheart were enjoyed, with Jessie remaining the champion, and an afternoon of rest and relaxation was had.
A few hours later, Gellan entered and discussed the success at the manor with the group. Surmising that the smugglers would likely have more goods delivered, a plan was formed where Gellans men would ferry them out to the smuggler vessel, board it, and attempt to take it over. He said his men would arrive within the day to aid them, as well as his daughter, who would dispel the remaining magic mouth trap. After this was agreed upon, he departed and the group went back to their drinks. Zelem felt like a pickup after the miserable experience with the bugs, and went to the strange goblin Bitsy for some for some Sannish to get him through the night.
On the way back to the inn, the party stumbled upon their old pal Lucky! He had a black eye, and had lost the one gold coin he had left. After a frustrating bit of conversation, the group left lucky and retired to bed. In the morning, Lucky seemed to have had a change of luck and had a whole pile of groceries! Turns out somebody took pity on him, and Tifa shoveled the goods into the bag of holding. She led him outside, fed up with his antics, and went to grab her knife when she couldn’t find it! Before she could finish him off, another guard patrol happened by and caught her. They recognized lucky as somebody that had accidently freed their horses, and took him in. With Lucky out of her hair, Tifa rejoined the group and set off to the manor.
Not long after, Gellans men led by his daughter, Priscilla Primewater, arrived and introduced themselves. Priscilla began by dispelling the mouth, getting to know the group a bit, and turning down Tifas coy advance before departing. Lucky arrived a bit later after miraculously getting more groceries and being set free, causing questions in the group as to this strange mans streaks of good (or bad) luck. With nothing else to do but wait, a few days of boredom passed until the smuggling ship was spotted late in the night. The signal was given and a return signal was flashed, a rowboat was boarded and the group rowed out to meet the smugglers ship. Zelem disguised himself as the land-borne smugglers leader in an attempt to fool the ones on the boat, hoping they wouldn't see through his disguise.
The person on deck was suspicious of the group, but Zelem bluffed his way on board. The captain himself came on deck, and after asking about payment the cover was blown and combat ensued! A difficult fight was had, but the captain and other crew on deck were finally overcome. Unfortunately while the party had secured the deck, more surely lie below. Before the party could venture below deck, a door opened revealing a bewildered lizardfolk holding a mug, which he set down before reaching for his club.
